What’s wrong with this picture? Killarney, Ireland.
So over the years I have had the good fortune of being able to travel throughout Ireland on an annual basis. On my first trip there many moons ago I was amazed at the fact that they actually had palm trees! Given where the island is situated in the Atlantic and how far North it is the fact that these trees could live there always caught me a little off guard.
Now to see them covered in SNOW!!!
Hey Stryker … palm trees and snow! That Killarney must be a magical place. Actually, I’ve been there a few times as well and it really is extraordinary. In congruous in so many ways — palm trees/snow, but also in that it is a central tourist area, yet can feel out of the way in many regards. Easy to get to know the locals, and this makes it feel much less touristy.
