When I was a little boy playing in my room with my legos my parents would often ask “Who are you talking to? “Johnny Stryker” I would say… he was my imaginary friend.

As I thought about publishing my own blog I often thought about who my audience would be, who would want to listen to what I had to say, my thoughts, my ideas, my ramblings… Johnny Stryker… he was always there for me as a kid, so why not now.

Hence, JohnnyStryker.net.

So, who am I. Well I am the Director of Technology for an independent day school. My formal background is in early childhood education, but I fell into the technology thing when I was just out of college, starting my job and built our school’s first web site. I was curious about how the whole web thing worked (1994) and taught myself some html code, cut up our viewbook, scanned some picture, copied some text and now here I am.

I would list what I think the blog would be about, the things I will be talking about, but they may vary. Let’s just say that the majority of it will be in the technology arena with a focus on educational technology… however, I make no guarantees.  There may be the occasional slip into sports, entertainment or even politics, who knows… I am going to keep it fairly open ended.

So as I ramble on lets just say that I hope you find what I have to say interesting and/or thought provoking. So check here to see what Johnny has to say and who knows maybe some new friends with show up, share and blog too.
